3-17 -- line-up vs. Rangers

Not sure the Rangers are following the MLB rule of having three starters in their starting line-up on split squad days. I see one and one utility guy and a lot of guys I’ve never heard of.

Today is supposed to be a big game for Blake Beavan in his hopes of making the starting rotation. Not sure how good of read you can get from pitching against that line-up.

If you look, Franklin Gutierrez is back in the line-up and batting lead-off.  If the season started tomorrow – and I wish it was – Gutierrez would be the lead-off hitter. Dustin Ackley is moving down in the line-up. He’s still finding his way with this new swing. But the timing seems to be getting a little better every day.
