  1. I didn’t expect this, but having to have given up my cable tv (& my TNT subscription), without TV I’m not really following sports at all. Apparently the Mariners are tearing up spring training, but I’m pretty clueless.

Just my luck…… they’ll make the World Series & I’ll miss out.

Welcome to the club. It’s especially unfortunate that MLB doesn’t do anything to support viewing outside of tv other than mlb.tv. Too bad that will let me watch any game live… EXCEPT Mariners games.

Remember when tv was free? Sigh.

  3. Yep. When the changeover happened I did get one of the “digital boxes” at $20, but sold it because early reports (apparently inaccurate) on the internet said they pretty much didn’t work unless you were really close to the tower.

And that wouldn’t have helped with Root sports anyway. The all or nothing cable bundles really suck. I would be perfectly happy with only Root & TCM + someway to watch the Seahawks.

And yes, I do remember when channel 13 showed all the M’s games.

I’ve linked this for you before, moo. It’s free. It’s NSFW and you need to use Firefox, Chrome or Safari. No Explorer. They have links to different feeds. Sometimes you have to download different players to view them. I’d be careful which ones you download if you don’t have a good antivirus/firewall program.

  5. Bookmarked, thanks. I use Firefox. Will check it out next M’s game.
