Dumb question, next

Chone Figgins was officially released by the Mariners today. After designating him for assignment, the team had 10 days to either trade or release the veteran infielder. Not surprisingly, no one claimed him off of waivers. He is now a free agent.

There isn’t much more to day. He’s gone and the Mariners have finally moved on. I think we can all agree that’s a good thing.

Ryan, could you consider doing a piece on prospects that have a good chance on impacting the M’s in 2013 sometime this off-season? Much appreciated.

Anyone have odds on a team picking up Figgens before spring training?

  6. Thank you Gaud! Christmas came early in Seattle. Now he can join Milton Bradley in the baseball welfare line.
