Jason Vargas can increase his trade value – whether he’s on the market or not – by winning his 11th game of the season tonight when the Seattle Mariners face the Kansas City Royals.

He’ll do it with one of the worst-hitting lineups in memory behind him.

The Mariners will have Mike Carp (.146), Miguel Olivo (.198), Carlos Peguero (.161) and Brendan Ryan (.188) hitting sixth through ninth in the batting order. That makes Dustin Ackley’s .220 look beefy.

Here’s the whole lineup:

Dustin Ackley      2B
Michael Saunders    CF
Casper Wells           LF
John Jaso          DH
Kyle Seager        3B
Mike Carp           1B
Miguel Olivo           C
Carlos Peguero     RF
Brendan Ryan           SS
Jason Vargas           LHP
