Figured I would break it up a little more for the last four rounds of picks.

11th Round (341st pick)

Kristian Brito, 1B, Ramon Quinones Medina out of Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. Bats: Right. Throws: Right. 6-5, 230.

Here’s a profile from Perfect Game

12th Round (371st pick)

Michael Faulkner, CF, Arkansas State,Bats: Left. Throws: Left. 5-9, 165

Here’s his bio from Arkansas State.

Faulkner has fair amount of speed — ok that may be an understatement. He stole 41 bases in 42 attempts this season. He also hit .291 (65-for-223) with a .369 OBP

13th round (401st pick)

Blake Hauser, RHP, VCU. 6-2, 180

From the MLB scouting report ….

Hauser has worked out of the bullpen at VCU and has the potential to be a shutdown closer. This year, Hauser has stuck out close to two batters an inning and hasn’t walked many. He has shown a fastball that sits in the mid 90s, along with a slider that could be a plus pitch in the future. He does use his slider often, and that could hurt him in pro ball. Other than that, he could move quickly through the Minors and be in the big leagues in short order.

Here’s his bio from VCU …. Hauser went 5-2 this season with 10 saves in 30 appearances. He posted a 3.03 ERA. He struck out 66 batters in 35 2/3 innings pitched with 28 walks.

14th round (431st pick)

15th Round (461st pick)

photo from Columbia University

Dario Pizzano, OF, Columbia University, Bats: Left. Throws: Right. 5-9, 200

Pizzano was the Ivy League player of the year after hitting .360 with four home runs, 16 doubles and 36 runs batted in. He had an OBP of .471 after drawing 31 walks, including six intentional walks. Here’s his college bio

  1. timeout says:

Pizzano, Columbia U. Hmmm…wasn’t Lou Gehrig “Columbia Lou”? Of course, this guy’s a bit smaller. I’d settle for a mini-Gehrig.
