Well, the Seattle Mariners are now 6-1 in Cactus League play after a 10-3 romp over the Chicago Cubs, and it’s time for another camp video.

On this one, the camera work is a tad shakey – trying to shoot through a net while concerned about being hit by a line drive. Still, ignore that as much as you can and listen to batting coach Chris Chambliss talk about using the hitting tee.

It’s more than a tool for holding a ball while you whale away at it. Used as Chambliss suggests, you can improve your hitting of problem pitches – inside corner, outside corner, whatever.

My advice to young hitters? Don’t stand too close to the netting around the outside of the cage. Yikes!
