Finishing at .500 would be a great year for the M’s by any definition.
We need to continue to let the young guys play so we will know exactly what we have and what we need as we go into the off season.
Too many times in the past we have traded away our future for short-term gratification that just never panned out.
We have a great core built now through our youth; we just need to determine if Paquero, Carp and Halmond are part of the future.
Our pitching is great; however, I can not imagine us resigning Bedard after this season. Maybe we can package Figgins with Bedard and get a good pospect while unloading a great picture and a large salary.

It appears the players deserve a big raise in pay for showing up in 2012.After all, when you check the salaries being paid out this year,I can understand the lack of performance from this years team.

I don’t see anywhere here where Bedard’s injury was specified. According to the Seattle Times, it’s a left knee sprain.
