I wasn’t being biased. At least, intentionally. I respect Ichiro plenty. When I used the phrase “steps up” I meant as in steps up to the plate.

And Ichiro did not dive on that play. I like Ichiro, I think he’s a great player. But I have always been in disagreement on the fact that he doesn’t believe in diving. It’s just a personal choice. I respect him as a player in every facet. But it’s my right to disagree with him on that, much the way I disagree with him on his love of pink shirts.

As for Bedard, that’s really up to him and the trainers. but they may want to see him throw a bullpen too.

Seems to me like Ichiro had a clutch go-ahead RBI hit for a team that struggles to score runs.

Same here. How many times has the team stranded a runner on third (usually Ichiro), one out or less?
