Ichiro Suzuki, who led the American League in hits, intentional walks and had its longest hitting streak – 27 games – has added his ninth consecutive Gold Glove.
The Seattle Mariners right fielder has won the Gold Glove, awarded for fielding excellence and voted upon by AL managers and coaches, each season since coming to the big leagues in 2001.
Center fielder Franklin Gutierrez, who led the majors in putouts last season, did not win a Gold Glove. Neither did third baseman Adrian Beltre, whose season was plagued by injury.
