The New York Yankees are the 2009 World Series champions … I can’t  write too much more out of fear of saying something totally rude, angry, cynical and possibly job-ending.

I’m ready to move to the 2010 season. Bring on the winter meetings, bring on Jack Zduriencik fleecing his fellow GMs, bring on spring training, because the sooner next season gets here, the sooner we can get a new World Series champion.

And yes, I’m slightly jealous of those people that get to experience postseason baseball firsthand as a fan or a writer. But I do believe this, it won’t be too long before the Mariners find themselves in the postseason again.
