One-time phenom Adam Moore flew into rain-soaked Dallas this morning and will soo find a comfortable spot on the Seattle Mariners bench.

Moore, coming off a season in which he played in Class AA West Tennessee, then Class AAA Tacoma, is now the third-string catcher on a team that doesn’t really need one.

Manager Don Wakamatsu said he can see getting Moore two starts but not much more in last three weeks of the season.

At 25, Moore was named the Rainiers Player of the Year by the Mariners Player Development staff.

The front office thinks Moore is ready to take his place in the Mariners future. At the moment, that won’t mean much playing time.

Originally selected by Seattle un the 6th round of the 2006 June draft, Moore has batted .301 with 55 home runs and 262 RBI in four minor league seasons.
