I find it ironic that The News Tribune feels that our senators ignored the American public (editorial, 4-19). I’m a strong Second Amendment supporter who took the time to contact my representatives over the course of this debate. I personally received responses from our officials in Washington, D.C., and locally here in Washington State. I was not ignored.
I really have to question the often-cited figure that 90 percent of Americans support background checks. Most Americans can’t agree on what they want for dinner, let alone agree on something as volatile as religion, abortion or gun control. A CNN …
