Their father was hard and their mother soft, and now dozens of their children delight us to this day. I call them the islands of Puget Sound.
Naturally I am referring to the glacial action that dug the big ditch, and the Pacific Ocean that surged in afterwards.
Ten thousand plus years later, these islands are still treated with great respect by the people of Puget Sound. All save one: McNeil Island.
