Tacoma has a clear noise ordinance stating, in part, that “commercial music cannot be plainly audible from a distance of 100 feet or more from the property line of business.”
One club, Jazzbones, blasts noise throughout the neighborhood several time a week from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. The city required the club to modify its building because of ongoing noise issues several years ago.
