Re: “Fluoridation good for our health, good for our budgets” (Viewpoint, 5-23).
While I believe the doctor who praised the wonders of flouridation in drinking water truly believes that it will promote health, from my interest in this subject during the past 50 years, I feel he is wrong.
The doctor wrote that untreated dental disease leads to problems such as diabetes and heart disease. Am I wrong in saying that flouridation does little or nothing for gum disease?
