OBAMA: Why does he refuse to negotiate with Congress?

President Barack Hussein Obama is eager to negotiate chemical weapons policy with thugs like Russia’s top dog Vladimir Putin and Syria’s biggest butcher Bashar Assad. Obama is even ready to negotiate nuclear weapons development with Iranian mullahs.

So why is Obama reluctant to negotiate important fiscal issues with Congress like federal debt limits, entitlement reform, discretionary spending cuts, health care policies, defense spending and tax reform?

House Republicans represent the majority of congressional districts in the United States, yet Obama continues to ignore them while trusting the foreign enemy that seeks to destroy our freedom.

SYRIA: Another case of WMD certainty?

Re: “US likely to send weapons to Syria” (TNT, 6-14).

Now it’s off to Syria, where the Obama administration wants to get involved in supporting one group of bad guys over another on account of “conclusive proof” that Bashar Assad’s regime is using weapons of mass destruction to kill people.

I would feel more confident in the pronouncements if President Obama could get Colin Powell to do a presentation to the United Nations outlining the proof of what’s going on in Syria.

SYRIA: U.S. shouldn’t be picking sides

Max Boot (TNT, 6-6) argues for U.S. intervention to help topple Bashar Assad’s regime in Syria. While recognizing technical difficulties as to targets, he asks, “Is this an argument for simply sitting by and let the killing continue?”

In a word, yes.

That may seem callous, but the plain fact is until we know who we are supporting, running around deposing people – even bad people isn’t smart. That’s true even if it might stop some killing.
