ELECTION: Heck hasn’t much to show for himself

I disagree with your endorsement of incumbent Congressman Denny Heck (editorial, 9-29). Your reason given is that he represents the Olympia liberals. What about us poor souls in Lakewood, Steilacoom, University Place and Puyallup?

I give you credit for saying positive things about challenger Joyce McDonald. I examined Heck’s voting record in the state Legislature and Congress and couldn’t find much positive he had done. The only thing I could find that he had done in his five terms in the Legislature was tp chair an obscure subcommittee.

This is one incumbent who brags about all he has done, but I can’t find that he delivers much. As a senior and a veteran, I notice he claims he is passing bills to protect us, but I could not find any real evidence of it. We need a change in the 10th District.
