Re: “Judge’s reversal means ex-deputy won’t pay fees” (TNT, 8-1).

Congratulations to Pierce County Superior Court Judge Kevin Hull for making the correct decision in the Michael Ames/Pierce County case and having the courage to reverse his previous ruling.

Now is the time to address the merits of the case. How can a person whose name and reputation has been disparaged, in his opinion, get his reputation and good standing restored?

That seems to be the real issue involved and not the issue of attorney’s fees. Hopefully individual animosities can be put aside so that the higher court can attempt to clarify the processes, if needed, to allow an individual an opportunity to be heard. Hopefully people can do the right thing, exercise common sense and help restore faith in our governmental branches.

Let’s utilize this opportunity to help those who get caught up in our complicated and sometimes confusing systems of government.
