The News Tribune featured an article about the “pot backers” on the front page (1-19). The reporting was factual and accurate – but it did not need be on the front page.

For us outside the pot culture, the article suggests that the pot lobby is fighting valiantly for its freedom against American bigots.  The point is of value to that lobby.

Articles like this have been repeated continually in the U.S. media for over a decade. Fair-minded American people have listened to the propaganda to vote for pot out of a sense of fairness.

It is documented that well over half of our teenagers think pot is not injurious to their health. It is injurious, but politically incorrect to publicize. Further, a large percentage of our teenagers use pot and have for several student cycles through our schools.

The illegal pot vendors use high-pressure tactics to sell pot inside and outside of schools.  The legalization of pot will undoubtedly accelerate the illegal business and dumb down many students.

Most businesses, athletics and the military do not want pot users in their organizations for very good reasons. It appears American society has unknowingly chosen the “potheads” over our children.
