Re: “House approves aid for illegal immigrants” (TNT, 1-14).

What in the world would prompt House lawmakers to even consider (much less make it the first bill presented) such a nonsensical bill?

Do these “lawmakers” not understand the meaning of the word “illegal”? Do they not understand the many more urgent and critical issues facing those of us who are “legal”? Do they not understand the meaning and practice of triage? Thank goodness the state Senate swatted this bill down.

College aid for illegal immigrants would be just another financial “straw” on the backs of American taxpayers. I say that until our representatives can do a better job of representing the people who voted for them and pay their salaries, that we take all those straws and make a nice strong broom to sweep every single representative who voted for that bill out of office.
