ELECTION: Jan Angel practices civilty, moderation and bipartisanship

When I served as secretary of state, I worked extensively with Jan Angel. I was deeply impressed with her. She always stood out as a legislator who successfully worked across party lines. Rather than being caught up in partisan politics or philosophical disputes, she worked in a practical, common-sense way to actually solve problems.

Angel benefits from having served as a Kitsap County commissioner. She dealt with specific problems and needs and with grassroots people. She governed.

At a time when Congress can’t work together and too many legislators would rather make political points than solve problems, Angel stands out an exceptional leader who practices civility, moderation and bipartisanship to serve the people extraordinarily well.

I urge you to join me in supporting my good friend Jan Angel for the state Senate.

(Reed was Washington’s secretary of state from 2001 to 2013.)
