I am very impressed with Corry Glucoft, a candidate running for the Puyallup City Council, District 1. Glucoft will bring youth, passion and a willingness to work with others to the council. As The News Tribune editorial board so correctly stated (editorial, 10-17), “She has youth and enthusiasm on her side.”

Glucoft is a business owner and cares about our economy, business owners and needs of the community at large. She has a great sense of civic pride and believes parks and recreation programs are important to our quality of life.

She wants to resolve the parking problem facing rail commuters and will work collaboratively with residents, riders and Sound Transit to resolve this issue. She was out on a recent morning at 5 a.m., engaging Sounder riders to share their concerns with her, which says a lot about her dedication.

As a lifelong resident of 73 years, I will be voting for Glucoft, the best candidate for Puyallup City Council, District 1.
