COAL: Better to mine it here than abroad

Coal is an abundant resource available in the United States and should be used while other resources are developed. We have a huge need for jobs, and the proposed Northwest terminals would maintain mining jobs and create export jobs in the U.S.

Everyone wants clean, plentiful energy. For now this is coal. We need to support U.S. industry. As a country we take great strides to ensure the environment is protected, so I prefer to have coal mined here under these standards rather than in another country that has less stringent standards.

While reviewing the impact of coal worldwide, include in the analysis the damage done by lower standards in other parts of the world, and the benefits of U.S. coal are apparent.
