OBAMACARE: Is Murray still confident about law?

Re: “Implementing Obamacare” (TNT, 8-25).

The front-page article dealt with exchanges that will begin to be available Oct. 1. I wonder if The News Tribune has tried contacting Sen. Patty Murray to get her thoughts on Obamacare and whether she still believes the law will be successful.

I ask this because Murray made the comment a few years back when asked about Obamacare, “Not only did I read it, but I helped write it.”It seems that each week companies are in the news concerning the unintended consequences of Obamacare in regard to dropping coverage for spouses or Delta Airlines projecting to lose millions of dollars a year.

Unions, which once supported the law, are also concerned about the consequences in regard to those who work 30-hour weeks.

I and many others are having to work two jobs as a result of this provision. Did Murray write that part? At the very least she had to have known what the end result would be since she did “read it.” If she is unwilling to go on the record, then that should be made known to the citizens of the state she represents.

I wish Murray could put herself in my shoes, but my guess is that it has been awhile since she has put on any tennis shoes.
