It was painful to watch President Obama’s speech Wednesday. He has been a colossal flop as a chief executive, and he fails as a leader to unite anyone or to inspire confidence, admiration and hope.
He has shown, even with more than four years of on-the-job training, his poor understanding of the economy, our nation’s leadership role in the world and his role as commander-in-chief.
He has made poor choices in his advisers, who are like-minded and inexperienced yes-men who give their ideological goals priority over the best interests of our nation. His meandering, partisan and defensive speech displayed his misunderstanding of his job as president and his inability to lead.
Instead of flying our big jet around to make poorly crafted speeches, he could be working with the leadership of both parties in Congress to find effective solutions to our nation’s serious economic problems, including replacing “Obamacare.”
The “phony scandals” he decried in his speech are nothing compared to his repetitive phony message of hope and change.
