VERDICT: Mob willfully ignorant of the facts

I have a couple of questions for the mob demanding George Zimmerman’s head on a stick.

• Point to me what crime Zimmerman committed prior to Trayvon Martin’s assault. You can’t.

He’s been criticized for getting out of his car against the advice of a dispatcher, that had he not, Martin would not have assaulted him. That’s like saying that if a young woman wears sexy clothes to a party against the advice of her dad, it’s her fault if she’s raped.

• I’ll ask you to go through a simple thought experiment. If I suddenly jumped President Obama, began beating him MMA style within close proximity of the Secret Service, but they were somehow unable to get to us, do you suppose they’d just stand there and watch, or do you think they’d shoot?

We know the answer, but now tell me why another citizen should not have the same right to self-protection?

As was pointed out in the trial, Martin was within a minute of his home when Zimmerman lost sight of him and left his car. It was four minutes later when the confrontation occurred, which can only be explained if Martin had circled back, looking for a fight.

Yes, the whole thing’s a shame, but Martin himself could have made it a dull night by simply going home.
