VERDICT: Media acted shamefully

There was once a time that to be a member of a responsible media news outlet was considered to be membership of an an honorable and respected profession. Sadly, such is no longer the case for the staff and ownership of The News Tribune and many other so-called news reporters in our great land.

My wife and I still receive The TNT. We no longer read the main body of the paper. We now, usually, take it for the sports stats, weather info, and the hope for some relief from the terrible bias evidenced in the “Front” section, in the comic section. Sad testimony to this bias is the drumbeat of “outrage” trumpeted by the Tribune in lockstep with the race hate mongering national media.

Never mind that a duly chosen, by both parties, and seated jury of peers gave a legal and correct verdict. Never mind that virtually no “outrage” was displayed till the “black media show” organizers – Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and others – began beating the drums of racial outrage was there any real continued media interest in the verdict.

What is truly sad is that the mainstream media reporting is no longer a reliable source of information. It has become a miserable tool of political correctness, political indoctrination and racial ferment.

These things are done in the name of profit and social agenda. Obama says, “Trayvon could be my son.” So a man defending his life, according to the law, is prosecuted needlessly.
