Well, we’re hearing the rumblings about the annual Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic, this coming weekend. People who don’t want to ride a bicycle for umpty miles and elect to use motor vehicles instead usually dread it due to the cyclists not sharing the roads as they are supposed to.
Cyclists in packs block intersections, don’t obey traffic signals, etc. A lot of them ride in clumps, multiple riders abreast instead of in single file, which would be so much safer.
It would be nice if this year things were different and cyclists and motorists all practiced caring road safety including obeying traffic signals and sharing the roads so that everyone can get to where they want to be safely and with as little frustration as possible.
