ENTITLEMENTS: Resist unsustainable extravagances

The Obama administration is driving us into an “entitlement” culture and nation – from top to bottom; which is socialism with a creeping loss of our freedoms, opportunities, privacy and prosperity.

Almost a majority of U.S. residents (legal and illegal) now believe they are entitled to food stamps, health care, housing, K-12 education, transportation, domestic security and international peace (all without any contribution).

This majority now includes the chronic unemployed, labor unionists, many local government workers, the president and his appointees (note the Obama family’s $100 million trip to Africa and top officials’ “conference” soirées to Las Vegas at taxpayers’ expense) while student tours of the White House and national parks were curtailed and the FAA suspended flights to many airports (to punish the less powerful).

This majority generally ignores the federal employees who target and harass taxpayers who disapprove of administration policies (IRS scandals); who abandon our ambassadors to be murdered (in Benghazi); who threaten reporters who expose administration wrongdoings (NSA); who collect metadata of domestic telephone calls and emails; and who lie, misrepresent and cover up misdeeds of the Obama administration.

These are the tactics of Nazis; of European socialist nations; of imperious, elitist U.S. officials. Our government’s spendthrift agencies are “running out of taxpayers’ money.” I say, resist!
