TERRORISM: Do we just wait for the nuclear bombs?

Recently President Obama told the American people to forget the war on Muslim terror, and Americans should go on with their lives. Further, the U.S. can handle the occasional killing of Americans by the terrorists as we would our domestic killers.

His position is applauded by liberal pundits like Leonard Pitts Jr. Meanwhile, the terrorists go on killing Americans. Recently it was our ambassador to Libya and his staff followed quickly by the mass killing in Boston, and then, a British soldier was killed on the streets of London.

Egypt and other countries are now controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood, a known terrorist group. Syria is in a civil war between Muslim terrorists. Mali was overrun by radical Muslims. Most frightening of all, Iran is close to having nuclear missiles, which are planned to be used to destroy Israel and intimidate the Western world. Further, Iran is actively funding terrorists to go against Israel and even the U.S.

In World War II, Americans were told to go on with their lives while Imperial Japan raged at the world. I lived in Port Angeles in 1942 waiting for the Japanese Navy to sail into sight to destroy my community and myself. It is unacceptable for Americans to wait for the radical Muslims’ nuclear missiles and terrorists.
