OBAMA: Leftist policies collide with reality

On May 3, Tacoma hosted Tamrat Layne to speak at the 35th annual Pierce County Prayer breakfast. Layne was the past communist prime minister of Ethiopia. Almost 1,800 people came to hear him speak.

Among other things, Layne said one thing very striking during his talk: that all of the leftist books that he had read and concepts that he had learned became rubbish when dealing with the reality of actually running a nation.

Unfortunately, after five years of leadership, President Obama is learning the same things as Layne. Spending trillions on pork barrel projects only caused growth until the money ran out. Redistributing wealth from the rich to the poor sounded good but did nothing to promote real job growth in our economy. If a nice, good-looking progressive leads America, terrorists still want to kill us.

Absolutely nothing has worked like Obama’s Columbia professors said it would.

Unfortunately, now that his distorted world view has collided with reality, the administration is resorting to the tormenting of the press through wire taps, blocking conservative groups’ nonprofit tax status and changing the talking points of the Benghazi attack.

I would have more respect for our president if he would just admit, like Layne, that everything he ever learned from his leftist professors was rubbish and get on with leading our nation using free-market, realistic policies. It would be so much more simple than going through hearings and more scandals.
