TNT: Photo of suspect shouldn’t have been published

I was shocked to see The News Tribune publishing a photo Saturday of the captured Boston Marathon suspect. The story is disturbing enough. Publishing that blurry but still identifiable still photo from a video was unnecessary. It added nothing to the story except a prurient aspect that does not belong in a quality newspaper’s coverage. I don’t want to see that sort of thing again.

That boy was injured, unconscious and in an ambulance. What he is alleged to have done is horrifying. Don’t add to it by printing a photo of his bloody, nearly naked body undergoing medical care.

You should be above that kind of reporting. You are supposedly not a tabloid publication. I am surprised your editors couldn’t see the inappropriate nature of that picture.
