MARRIAGE: Don’t take us down a slippery slope

If the U.S. Supreme Court removes the God designed, the natural feature and purpose of marriage for one special interest group, will not the court also need to remove the parameters of marriage for all special-interest groups?

Why only homosexuals? Why not polygamists and bisexuals? Should not bisexuals also have the “right” to be married to both a woman and a man simultaneously if they “love” them both?

What supporters of marriage extinction fail to understand is that natural marriage flows from the laws of nature. Natural marriage is uniquely valuable because we are gendered species. The idea that all of a sudden men and women are interchangeable will not survive because it is against nature and inconsistent with reality.

The truth is not concerned with or affected by our unnatural sexual preferences. Fathers cannot mother, mothers cannot father. The fact that it is ideal for children to have both parents in their lives flows from nature, not from “hatred.” For anything- and-everything marriage supporters that may be offensive, but reality is not void of the laws of nature, nor God’s purpose.

Is creating hundreds of thousands of fatherless and motherless homes good for marriage and, most importantly, children? Maybe the court should also find the law of gravity to be unconstitutional because it discriminates against everyone who cannot fly. We can then launch ourselves of buildings, patting ourselves on the back on the way down over this new-found “right” without fear of the landing.
