BOY SCOUTS: Political agenda behind attack

Every parent concerned about religious freedom and protecting their children should be alarmed by the attack on the Boy Scouts of America. After the Scouts, who or what is next on the homosexual advocacy’s radar?

Whether you believe the biblical teaching that homosexuality is sinful behavior, or you believe homosexuality is perfectly normal and natural, you should be concerned about any individual or organization being forced to accept radical homosexuality as the cultural norm.

The attack on the Scouts isn’t about promoting tolerance for homosexuals. It’s about advancing a political agenda. For homosexuals, there is only one correct view, one acceptable opinion, and if you don’t believe in reversing the dominance of heterosexism, the consequences will be harsh.

The Scouts, until recently, have understood all too well that their iconic policy hasn’t been about discrimination. It’s been about discernment. It’s been about the courage to stand firm for timeless values and morality.

Will the Boy Scouts now be required to earn a sexual diversity merit badge? Will Scouts be required to learn about homosexual attractions? Will Scouts not advance in rank unless they cite that heterosexuality is not the norm, and that heterosexism is evil and unjust, as if it is a scientific fact?

The First Amendment and children’s safety versus the radical homosexual agenda – this decision simply should not be. Will the Scouts stand up to this attack on morality no matter how “out of culture” seculars maintain their policy is?
