Re: “Obama pledges his all to gun control” (TNT, 1-17).

The article succinctly presented the bullet points of President Obama’s plan along with elements of the NRA’s proposals. I find them all reasonable as a limitedly informed citizen without legal insight or desire to go much further into the details.

It seems to me that we should be doing more to control the negative impact of guns on our society. From the article it appears that both the NRA and President Obama agree on making schools more secure and prosecuting criminals. That’s a great starting point, but from my perspective all of the items in the article need to be addressed in order to make our country a more desirable place to live.
