One side promotes “soak the rich (and reduce our rate of spending over 10 years)” – which would solve less than 10 percent of the annual deficit.
The other side promotes “we’re spending nearly $1 trillion more than we’re accustomed to spending. So, in addition to exploring increased revenue ideas, the real solution lies within the spending side of the equation.”
And, the best The News Tribune editorial board can come up with is to admonish the side that’s looking to responsibly fix the 90 percent of the problem. Between the TNT and liberals, this is your best thought? God help us.
