GUNS: Gun-free zone an invitation to kill

“Gun-free zone” signs are not only obviously preposterous, they are a reflection of the ignorance and timidity of the people who instituted them.

They imagine that because they believe it’s so right not to have a firearm, everyone else must think so, too. They are astonished when a criminal or someone mentally ill (or both) not only disregards the signs, but takes them as boundary markers for happy hunting grounds. It enables and encourages unconscionable body counts because Second Amendment rights have been locally curtailed and secured by the natural obedience of law-abiding people.

Uninformed emotion should not be the basis for more legislation. Firearms are only tools. We should no longer permit those with no knowledge and irrational fears about firearms to dictate a policy that supplies crowds of unarmed human beings – especially those too young to protect themselves – for sport shootings by mental defectives and/or enraged criminals.
