TACOMA: What is city’s vision for its vacant land?

Re: “City says it can’t donate downtown land” (TNT, 12-18).

What I find more troubling with the fact that the City of Tacoma seems to be unwilling to work with a group that wants to invest in blighted city-owed downtown land is the fact that the city has yet to come up with a plan of what to do with its many acres that have sat – attracting undesirable activities – for more than a decade.

I would like to see the city work on a vision and a plan to develop the site so that it doesn’t sit vacant for another decade.
