GUNS: The 2nd Amendment has long been abused

We need to stop the ignorant talk about the 2nd Amendment and what our forefathers adopted regarding the right to bear arms. The defense about this amendment is outdated and ridiculous in today’s world.

We live in a country now of high-tech weapons designed to kill massive amounts of human beings. We are today’s forefathers, and it is our responsibility to protect our innocent population who are fearful now of schools, malls, theaters, places of worship, political rallies, freeways, highways, streets, their homes and any other place where it was once safe.

The NRA and Legislature needs to do something now, not just talk about defending the 2nd Amendment and our forefathers who have been long gone. Our country and the world are different now in so many ways.

This amendment has been abused for generations. Stop the paranoia about how President Obama will take your guns. It’s a distraction to allow possessions and sales of weapons of mass destruction to continue on like nothing happened. Weapons and ammunition have gone steroids at gun shows and online.

I am a reasonable, law-abiding, responsible gun owner with a concealed weapons permit. Never did I ever think I would have to protect my safety in my own home or on the streets and public places. Grieve and pray for the innocent victims today and then do something about high-tech weaponry and ammunition laws.
