TNT: Too much coverage of same-sex marriage

Whew! The News Tribune seems to be a bit preoccupied with homosexual couples. In a five-day period, the TNT featured no less than three front-page gay marriage articles – complete with large, full-color photos.

Regardless of your thoughts on the subject, that is too much. Indeed, one of the two pictures in the Dec. 10 issue actually displayed two men kissing each other on the lips. With few exceptions, even Hollywood rarely depicts that sort of activity.

This is definitely too much for a family newspaper that seeks to reach a broad spectrum of people. Unless the TNT wants to start losing numerous subscribers, the paper might try to exercise more discretion by balancing a gay agenda with more respect for the sensibilities and convictions of a great many of its readers.
