DRUGS: Disappointed in Washington, Seahawks

I am from the Pacific Northwest and am currently working in Seoul, Korea. I take every opportunity to brag about the state of Washington, Seattle, grunge music, the Seahawks and the Mariners. I was so disappointed when the state legalized marijuana. I mean that’s really what I want for my son – to be lethargic and to just spend his life on the couch with a smile and a dazed stare.

Then the Seahawks – in a “gimme” game – lost to Miami, and everyone in my office let me know about it. Moreover, to make matters worse, two Seahawk cornerbacks will be handed four-game suspensions for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing substances, according to an ESPN report. One wonders if the state’s legalization of marijuana and the Seahawk players’ alleged drug violations are related.

You disappoint me, Washington. You disappoint me, Seahawks.
