ELECTION: President and our nation move forward

Now that the election is in the history books, and President Barack Obama remains our leader of this free country, we Democrats will do what we do best: lead this country forward. The Republicans will keep doing what they do best: criticize, obstruct, lie, cheat and steal.

With Karl Rove and his crooked operatives’ help, the Republicans attempted to rig this election one more time to their favor. Fortunately, it didn’t work, thanks in part to the Anonymous hacker group and citizen watchdogs who thwarted their actions.

In addition, many thanks to David Axelrod and David Plouffe, senior advisors to Obama, and many strategists and others who worked tirelessly to make him a two-term president.

I am looking forward in celebration to move on and get things done. Our poor and middle-class will now hear a distant drum beating their way – at last. Obama will prove that his second term will not become a lame-duck presidency. The next step is to regain the House of Representatives in the 2014 midterm elections.

Thank you, voters, for making this happen. Let’s move forward, shall we?
