As if the reasons Pierce Transit is requesting more funds are not enough, superstorm Sandy’s devastation clearly signals another factor: the absolute necessity of increasing our mass transit resources as a means of assisting in reducing global warming.

Our planet has already changed, the hour is late, yet we can literally help turn the tide. The increase in funds now to support Pierce Transit’s expansion of bus ridership will help all of us to lessen our collective ecological footprint and expand our collective quality of living.
