ELECTION: TNT wrong to endorse Obama

With all that has come out in the news the past several days regarding the handling of the uncalled-for terrorist attack in Libya and loss of four very brave individuals, how, given the circumstances being brought forth, can The News Tribune justify supporting Barack Obama for re-election (editorial, 10-24)?

We, the people have been lied to constantly about what went on at the Libyan consulate. Lives were lost unnecessarily because no action was taken to send support even after numerous requests.

I have been a longtime reader of The News Tribune and have agreed and disagreed with things that have been printed. That is the way it should be. This is the reason we live in this great and awesome country called the United States of America so we can have freedom in thought and speech. But to come out in this newspaper in support of this man for another fuor years does not make sense after all that has been happening in this country.

We need a man who has faith in God and in the people of this country to stand up and do the right thing. Allowing these men to die the way they did when something could have been done is no the mark of a good president.

God help this country. We need a man with backbone, not the one we have.
