ECONOMY: Big Guns weighing in might help

Re: “CEOs urge tax hikes, spending cuts” (TNT, 10-25).

I have long wondered if there are any extremely wealthy people who care enough about our country’s survival to actively participate in major resuscitation efforts. It is therefore encouraging to see business leaders around the country, CEOs and so forth, pressuring Congress to get its act together.

Perhaps, short of a revolt of the general population, this is our best – and maybe only – hope.
