LIBYA: Where did the buck stop?

Having been overseas with my family for six years, I had the opportunity to meet three different ambassadors and enjoy several embassy “family” activities. These men and women are there to represent the United States, namely the president, and they work very closely with the top.

President Obama said that “The buck stops here” in one of the debates on the subject of Libya. I find it hard to take that the buck stops with him when for months he was receiving letters from Ambassador Christopher Stevens asking for security to remain there longer because things had not been good there for a long time. Security was leaving at the end of August, just days before the attack on Sept. 11.

Then to have Secretary of State Hillary Clinton say that it all came about from a short, flimsy YouTube film takes the cake. This was a coverup.

I would ask people to consider carefully who they are voting for this election. The president still has not publicly admitted to this terrible mistake of not sending the appropriate security to protect the late Ambassador Stevens. We need someone who will pay attention to both the economy and foreign policy issues, and not just say someone is going to pay for this after the fact.
