ELECTION: TNT’s Obama endorsement not surprising

Re: “With sobered expectations, Obama for president” (editorial, 10-24).

This endorsement didn’t surprise me, and it would be laughable if not for the seriousness of the election. The re-election of Barack Obama will be dangerous for the future of America. With his ineptness in foreign policy, a failed economic program that is saddling future generations with debt, a socialist agenda and failed energy policies, any other incumbent running on that record would be defeated.

Obama’s greatest base is uninformed voters who think the most pressing issues are same-sex marriage, abortion, benefits for illegals and the continuation of handouts from the government. Also, those who must not care about him apologizing for all the “failures” of America and those who see nothing wrong with the President bowing down to Arab sheiks. As for me, my hope is that, if Obama is re-elected, the Republicans in Congress will do everything possible to block him at every point.
