TNT: Don’t rely too much on endorsements

Re: “Endorsements are helpful for busy workers” (letter, 10-22).

I would caution against not having “the interest nor the time to to research and learn about the candidates and issues,” most especially in the current election. Endorsements can certainly be helpful, but each of us needs to take the time to study the candidates and the issues ourselves.

Too many people say they are too busy to do this and thus rely on recommendations (not always unbiased). To this I would say that they very often get the candidates they deserve.
