ELECTION: Stark constrast in executive race

Re: “Pierce exec says her record is solid” (TNT, 10-5).

I hope Pierce County residents are taking note of the fiasco that occurred in Pacific regarding the election of its mayor prior to casting their vote for our county executive.

Even the Republican Party, as noted in the article, stated that “People who were of the stature to run for that (executive office) chose to run for other offices . . .  (it) is too big an undertaking just to put a name on the ballot.”

There is a stark contrast between the two candidates, exposing a startling lack of experience and credentials of the correctional deputy running against incumbent Pat McCarthy. An uninformed vote is at the very minimum a death-defying act for Pierce County.
