We are supporting Karin Ashabraner for our next 26th District representative. She is an eighth-grade history teacher who stresses civics and the Constitution. She is a mom. She is a veteran of the Washington National Guard and Desert Storm. She is also an experienced negotiator through her service as president of the Peninsula Education Association.

Ashabraner is dedicated to public service and has already made arrangements to take an unpaid leave of absence from her job during legislative sessions.

In contrast to her opponent in the 26th District, Ashabraner has no obligations to large corporations such as Wal-Mart, Microsoft, Pfizer, Conoco-Phillips or associations such as the NRA or the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) all of which lobby for bills beneficial to them and their corporate, largely out-of-state, interests. Insofar as this happens, her 26th District constituents take a back seat.

Ashabraner is willing to listen, learn and serve the constituents of her district. She is truly a breath of fresh air in the political arena. Please join us in voting for her.
